What do you eat then?

Alex Bourke, our expert media contact says this when asked what we vegans eat:

Vegan cuisine is the richest and most diverse in the world, because we take the healthiest ingredients and dishes from every country in the world, such as

  • Chinese stir fries
  • tempeh and satay from south east Asia
  • tofu and brown rice from Japan
  • Mexian enchiladas and tortillas
  • Italian pasta and other Mediterranean dishes using olive oil and lots of fresh veg
  • Middle Eastern hummus and falafels
  • and of course stacks of Indian curries

As a vegan you are mercilessly spoilt for choice. Instead of a few animals, we have thousands of ingredients and recipes to choose from.

And before you get asked, you know you will be, so have a think about some of the nicest things you've eaten recently and tell them about those and decide how to describe them in luscious terms.
